About the Artist
Artist Bio
Christina Uran is a Las Vegas Based artist whose interdisciplinary practice focuses mainly around sculptural and photographic processes. She addresses the psychological field, which she uses to merge the realms of the conscious and unconscious. She draws inspiration from analytical psychology to create her own reality in the form of dreamscapes, invoking a sense of reverie and otherworldliness in the viewer.
Focusing on the contrast between light and dark, her work portrays duality, whether in materiality or in concept: over lapping ideas of hope and despair, humor and sincerity, identity and objectification. Using experimental processes, she continues to explore ideas of the unconscious and navigate the ever-changing and complicated spectrums of human identity.
Christina earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Digital Photography
Images shot digitally with DSLR
Sculpture/Installation
3-Dimensional forms created in mediums such as wood, metal, plaster, and various found objects.
